The Catholic Defender: The 2013 Rosary Crusade

Posted by John Benko - October 12th, 2013

What a great opportunity to pray for our Nation as Pope Francis begins a Pilgrimage to the Tomb of St. Peter. This begins with Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary.

Here in the United States tens of thousands of Christians gathered at 12 Noon to pray the Rosary. Today is the eve of the great miracle given at Fatima on October 13, 1917.

Our Lady called for Christians to pray the Rosary for the conversion of sinners. Acts 2:17 states, “It will come to pass in the last days, God says, that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids I will pour a portion of my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. And I will work wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below…”

What a story that has been given to us from Heaven. Mother Mary’s appearance at Fatima especially on October 13, the eye-witness accounts that confirms the testimony of thousands who actually witnessed the event.

There were between 70,000 to as high as 100,000 people from all over the region that was there.

This gives great credibility to the Fatima message.

Consider the Atheistic reporters who witnessed this event.  They were present with the intent to report the mass chaos and rioting, however, they ended up on their knees and the next day were reporting the glory of God.

The next days they were reporting the miracles which was not their original intent.

Our Lady gives us a great promise, “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph”.

This was the basis for a national day, a Rosary rally Crusade that would take the Rosary to the street, to the high ways and the bi-ways.

What a great joy it was to participate in today’s Rosary dedicated by our team Captains, “Doc” Oran Hrncir and myself (The Catholic Defender) and everyone involved.

2nd Chronicles 7:14 states, “and if my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my presence and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and revive their land”.

This is exactly what we need for America, this is Mother Mary’s peace plan from heaven.

What a great joy it is to be part of heavens peace plan here on earth.  To be called by Our Lord to spread Our Lady’s message causes the powers of darkness to shake like a flashing lightening bolt.
2 Corinthians 9:25 states, “Every athlete exercises discipline in every way.  They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.  Thus I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight as if I were shadowboxing.  No, I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified”.  In others words, we must hang tough in our commitment to follow the Lord.

The great news that we received at this Rosary was the closing of a local abortion clinic in Killeen Texas.

We have been out there everyday praying at the abortion clinic.   After the Rosary at the Church, we took the prayer at the abortion clinic.  We will hold tight until they do close down this clinic

The Catholic Defender: The Battle Lines Drawn

Posted by John Benko - July 3rd, 2013

The war upon the unborn child continues and the latest battle front is taking place in the State of Texas.

I’ve been following the story this past week when Senator Wendy Davis, Democrat-Fort Worth, staged a filibuster that prevented a crucial vote that would have prevented abortions after 20 weeks of gestation.

Sen Davis was celebrated as a hero on different talk shows en-kindling a rebirth on the subject of abortion in the public eye.

Thankfully, Governor Rick Perry is dedicated in trying to limit abortion in Texas trying to stand up for all life. In the State of Texas there are annually nearly 80,000 abortions which equates to about 225 abortions per day.

To the pro-abortionist, the right to have an abortion is considered an extreme right of women.

This ties centrally to the radical feminine movement which has lead to  a higher elevated state of rebellion.  This has lead  many into witchcraft, lesbian practice, and radical left-wing agendas.

This is certainly tied into the political movement to suppress the freedom of religion in the United States and the attack on the Catholic Church specifically.

Over the past few years, the polls have constantly shown a public shift to the opposition of abortion on demand, and for the restriction of abortion.  The National Organization of Women (the NOW Gang) had been reduced to slowing growth.

The current battle shaping in Texas is re-energizing the radical feminist movement and it is important for the Church to stand up in the face of it, just like they do in the subsequent video.

This story is becoming known through good people on Face-book, which is how I found it.

It is important that the Church does not remain silent but be willing to take the battle back to the street.

I am so proud and thankful of those who were present in Texas who were willing to stand up for Children, for the rights of all people, and for our faith.  Something beautiful and dramatic in singing Amazing Grace in a public setting, especially when the radical feminists are praising Satan.

This video speaks for itself, listen to the Pro-life crowd singing Amazing Grace, then listen to the pro-abortion group, they are chanting “Hail Satan”, this can not be any more clear that abortion is a Satanic sacrifice. It is heating up in Texas!

*BEST OF DTB #75* The Catholic Defender Meets Abby Johnson

Posted by John Benko - April 2nd, 2011

Recently, Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood leader, published a book called “Unplanned”.

This is basically her story and how she found her new faith.

This upcoming Easter Vigil, the one time head of the largest Planned Parenthood’s Abortion Mill, will be received into the Catholic Church.

Abby Johnson gave her talk this past week here in Texas just right outside of the Fort Hood Area.

There was a large crowd there to hear her speak. Mrs. Johnson was very inspiring as she challenged us to pick up the battle against Abortion.

She lamented that few Pastors were speaking out against abortion from the pulpit. She gave the testimony how she grew up in a “pro-life” family, but abortion and the evil of it were seldom mentioned. She never heard it from the pulpit giving any kind of direction.

Mrs. Johnson reported that 78% of those getting abortions come from “Christians”.

The need today is for people of good will to become more involved in the battle to save lives. The Pulpit should be a place where life should be preached. She did have some good information to report.

In the course of this past year there were 9 Abortion clinics closed down.

Here in Killeen Texas, there were 101 babies saved when the Mother who had planned to have an abortion changed their minds.

The Pro-life center which sits next door to the Abortion Mill reached out to 4300 women who were abortion minded.

It is interesting to note that while in the Abortion Mill they cannot refer to the child as a “baby”.

The Abortion Mill places a value on the child. It is about $450 dollars.

Then it’s cut down and gone. Coming soon to 247 cities across America, 40 Days of Life will renew it’s plan to be out on the front lines to be a sign for life.

Mrs. Abby Johnson will be in Missouri next and Dr. Gregory Thompson of deeptertruth will be there to greet her.
