Jesus I thirstEucharistic Miracles – Facts, Research, Videos

“This is my Body which will be given up for you…”

Throughout Christian history, our Lord has shown us that he is really present as the Blessed Sacrament. Most Eucharistic miracles involve incidences in which the Host has “turned into human flesh and blood”. Of course we as Catholics believe that the consecrated Host is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord, under the appearances of bread and wine. Therefore, Jesus, through these miracles, merely manifests His Presence in a more tangible way.

Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.’ Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.‘” (Jn 20:27-29)

Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano

HPIM1316.JPG“Take this, all of you, and eat it: This is my body, which will be given up for you.” Then he lifts the cup and says, “Take this, all of you, and drink from it: This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

The doctrine of transubstantiation, which is the teaching that bread and wine are converted into the actual flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, is difficult for many to understand. When Christ first told his followers of it, many rejected him believing it was an outrageous claim. But Jesus did not back down, he did not try and clarify his statement or correct their misunderstanding. He simply repeated his command to the disciples at the Last Supper. “This is My Body…. This is My Blood.” Some Christians today still have trouble accepting this teaching and don’t quite understand it. The bread and wine turn into the Body and Blood of Christ. A physical sign of the new covenant between God and Man, reminded through the sacrifice of Christ, that redemption can be had.

Eucharistic Miracles 0Throughout history, though, many people have reported miracles that brought them back to the truth. The Church has recognized over one hundred Eucharistic miracles, many of which occurred during times of weakened faith in transubstantiation. To Jesus through Mary, GregoryMary

The Bleeding Host Miracle 1991

Excerpted with permission from Daniel Sanford

The Bleeding Host Miracle occurred in Betania, Venezuela on December 8th, 1991 (The Feast of the Immaculate Conception) during the celebration of the Holy Mass at midnight. The celebrant, Father Otty Ossa Aristiza`bal, the Betania Chaplain, had just finished the Consecration, had broken the large Host into four pieces, and took one piece of the Host for his consumption and placed the remaining portions on the plate on the altar. When he looked down at the remaining Host, to his amazement he saw a red substance coming out of it which he described as if it was spurting from a wound. He placed the Host in a Chalice and put it in the Tabernacle until 6 a.m. the next morning. When he looked at it again it was still bleeding, so he placed it in a Monstrance and took it to show the people at Mass.

Bishop Ricardo of Los Teques was advised, and he had the Host tested in Caracas. He was told that the red substance was IN FACT human blood. Subsequently, the Miraculous Host was taken to the convent of the Augustinian Nuns in Los Teques for safekeeping, adoration, and visitation by pilgrims.

Betania 1Eyewitnesses saw the Host bleeding and blood accumulating on the bottom of the Monstrance. Some filmed it on their camcorders.

Daniel Sanford of New Jersey journeyed to Betania, Venezuela from 11/12/98 til 11/15/98 on a pilgrimage with an organized Prayer Group from Medford Lakes, NJ. On 11/13/98, as part of the pilgrimage, they went to see the Bleeding Host of Betania at the Chapel of the Augustinian Nuns in Los Teques. Our Spiritual Director, Father Mazzarella, said Daily Mass.

betania 2When we finished, he opened the Tabernacle door, which contained the Bleeding Host. The Host was in flames, bleeding, and there was a pulsating heart bleeding in the center of the Host. The Group watched this for about 30 seconds or so, then the Host returned to normal.

HOWEVER, Daniel did manage to film this miracle with his camcorder! There were 10-15 other people standing next to me also taking still pictures, but, they saw nothing, and nothing was recorded on their pictures except the normal condition of the Host, seen everyday.I rewound the film right away and played it back to all present, including the Nuns, the Tour Guide, and the Bus Driver, and the tape revealed the Host just as I saw it: burning, bleeding, and a pulsating heart in the middle!

The tape was sent to the Bishop of Los Teques, Pio Bello S.J. Bishop Emeritus of Los Teques asking his advice as to what to do with the Video Vision I was given. You can view his Letter of Response on the left in the Directory.

When I spoke to him, I informed him that I would be in strict obedience to his advice and hoped what I witnessed was not just my mind playing tricks on me. His response was that “you can fool the mind, but the camera only films what it sees!”. He advised me to evangelize the True Presence, and this has been my ministry since 11/13/98 and WILL be until my last breath.

What a testimony coming from Daniel Sanford. Acts 2:17-20 says, “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; yea, and on my menservants and my maidservants in those days I will pour out my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. And I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth beneath…”

CameraDr. Gregory Thompson and I am honored to share these stories coming from the Bible and Our Holy Catholic Church. Jesus is the head of the Church and He continues to manifest His presence among us through the mystery of the Breaking of Bread>

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of GRUARO (VALVASONE) ITALY, 1294

Posted by Donald Hartley - April 27th, 2016

Jesus and FaustinaJesus to Faustina, “My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world. Who can measure the extent of My goodness.” Wow, and through the Eucharist he gives us His love and mercy. The Eucharist is central to our faith. Listen to catechesis again from Father Hardon, what a joy, and followed by another Eucharistic Miracle. To Jesus through Mary, GregoryMary

The center of the whole Catholic liturgy is the Eucharist. The Eucharist is most important in the life of the Church because it is Jesus Christ. It is the incarnation continued in space and time. The other sacraments and all the Church’s ministries and apostolates are directed toward the Eucharist.

The word “Eucharist” means “thanksgiving”. This is explained by the fact that Christ “gave thanks” when He instituted the Eucharist and this is the supreme act of Christian gratitude to God.

Eucharist 2The Eucharist is the sacrament which really, truly and substantially contains the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ under the appearances of Bread and wine. It is the great sacrament of God’s love in which Christ is eaten, the mind is filled with grace and a pledge is given to us of future glory.

Christ instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist at the Last Supper on the night before He died on the cross. This is recorded by St. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians (cf. I Corinthians 11:23-26) and in the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew (26:26-28), Mark (14:22-24), and Luke (22:19-20). St. John omitted the institution because he wrote his Gospel to supplement what the other evangelists had already written. The Eucharist was instituted in this way: “Jesus took some bread and when He had said the blessing He broke it and gave it to the disciples. ‘Take it and eat,’ He said, ‘this is my body.’ Then He took a cup and when He had returned thanks He gave it to them. ‘Drink all of you from this,’ He said, ‘for this is my blood’” (Matthew 26:26-28).

Like Baptism, the Eucharist is necessary for salvation to be received either sacramentally or in desire. Christ’s words, “if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you will not have life in you” (John 6:53), means that Holy Communion is necessary to sustain the life of grace in a person who has reached the age of reason. Those who, through no fault of their own, do not realize this can receive the necessary grace to remain in God’s friendship through other means. This is similar to what happens with the baptism of desire to first receive the state of grace.

EucharistThe sensible sign in the Eucharist is the appearance of bread and wine, that is, anything in these elements that fall under the senses such as size, color, shape, taste, weight and texture. After consecration, however, this sign contains the whole Christ, His Body and Blood, His Soul and Divinity.

The material necessary for the sacrament is wheaten bread and wine. In the Latin Rite, the bread must be unleavened; in the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church, leavened bread is used. The wine is mixed with a little water before consecration. Christ chose bread and wine for the matter of the sacrament in order to teach that as we daily partake of food for the body so we should daily receive this heavenly food for the soul. The necessary words for producing the sacrament of the Eucharist are “This is my body”. “This is my blood”.

Christ is present in the Eucharist not only with everything that makes Him man, but with all that makes Him this human being. He is therefore present with all His physical properties, hands and feet and head and human heart. He is present with His human soul, with His thoughts, desires and human affections. He becomes present in the Eucharist by means of transubstantiation.

Mass 2Transubstantiation is the term used to identify the change that takes place at the consecration of the bread and wine at Mass. Therefore after the consecration, nothing remains of the bread and wine except their external properties. By this we mean the bread still looks like bread and tastes like bread, and the wine still looks and tastes like wine, but they are no longer bread and wine. Their substance becomes the living Body and Blood of Christ.

It is a matter of faith that Jesus Christ is contained under each particle of the species of bread and wine. No matter how great the number of parts into which the species are divided, the whole Christ is present in every portion. He is present in the Eucharist as long as the species remain. Therefore, we worship the Blessed Sacrament as we would worship the person of Jesus Himself.

The Eucharist is the most excellent of all the sacraments because it contains Christ Himself. All the other sacraments are channels of grace but they do not actually possess Jesus Christ, the Author of Grace. Moreover, the other sacraments point to the Eucharist as their purpose or end. Baptism enables us to receive the Eucharist; Confirmation perfects the Christian so that his faith in the Eucharist may remain strong; Penance and Anointing of the Sick cleanse the soul from weakness and sin and prepare it for the reception of the Eucharist; Holy Orders ordains the priests necessary to consecrate and offer the Eucharist; and Matrimony is the earthly sign of the purpose of the Eucharist, to unite the faithful with Christ in selfless love.

Bible 2The doctrine of the Real Presence is, first of all, proved from Sacred Scripture. At the Last Supper, Christ simply declared that He was giving the disciples His Body and Blood. Nothing in the context of His words indicates He was speaking figuratively, whereas everything shows He meant it to be taken literally (cf. Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19-20).

In the Gospel of John, when Christ foretold He would give His Body to eat and His Blood to drink, many of His disciples left Him because they would not believe this. Yet, instead of taking back what He said or qualifying His statement, He repeated the promise and even asked the Apostles if they also wanted to leave Him (cf. John 6:47-67).

Sacred Tradition from the earliest times teaches the Real Presence. St. Ignatius of Antioch wrote in A.D. 107, “The Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ” (Smyrneans, 6:2). And St. Justin wrote in A.D. 145, “As Jesus Christ our Savior was made incarnate by the word of God and had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so too, as we have been taught, the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharistic prayer set down by Him …is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnate Jesus” (I Apology, 66).

vatican 1The teaching of the Church on the Real Presence is defined revealed doctrine according to the Council of Trent. It declares that the whole Christ is truly, really and substantially present in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist immediately after consecration. It also declares that the whole Christ is present under each form, and under each part of particle of each species of both bread and wine. By the “whole Christ” in the Eucharist, we mean He is present in the fullness of His divine and human nature. He is present under the sacramental veils with the fullness of His divine attributes as well as all His human qualities.

We should worship Jesus in the Tabernacle because He is present there under the appearance of bread and wine as truly as He is in heaven. We should give Him the adoration given to God alone because of His infinite perfection and His supreme domination over all things created. The Church fosters devotion to the Real Presence through public adoration of the Holy Eucharist, notably exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction and Forty Hours Devotion.

BenedictionBlessedSacramentBenediction of the Blessed Sacrament is a special devotion that dates from at least the fifteenth century. It consists of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, hymns, readings, prayers and the blessing of the people with the Holy Eucharist. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is the solemn placing of a consecrated Host in a monstrance, on the altar, to be viewed and adored by the faithful. The exposition is opened with a hymn and incensing by the priest or deacon. During the Exposition, public or private prayers are said, and the ceremony is commonly concluded with benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Forty Hours Devotion is the public exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance for forty hours, either consecutively or over a period of three days.

The sign by which the people know that Christ is present in the tabernacle is the sanctuary light which burns night and day before the tabernacle. Also a tabernacle veil or other suitable means may be prescribed by competent authority. We manifest our adoration outwardly by genuflecting before the place where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved.

No doubt, Christ is present in other ways besides the Real Presence:

He is present when the Church prays;
He is present when the Church performs her works of mercy;
He is present in the Church as she governs the people of God;
He is present in the pastors who exercise their priestly and Episcopal power;
He is specially present in the Church when she offers in His Name the Sacrifice of the Mass;
priestchaliceHe is present when the Church administers the sacraments.
But the Real Presence is absolutely unique. It is the physical presence of Christ in our midst, no less truly present than He is now present at the right hand of the Father of Heaven. It is called the “Real Presence” because it is presence in the fullest sense possible. It is a substantial presence by which Christ, the God-man, is now on earth, no less truly that He was during His visible presence in history in the first century in Palestine.

Editors Note: I would simply add to that we recognize that God is omniscient (God is eveywhere), we recognize His Presence when His Word is proclaimed, we recognize Him through the authority of the Church, and we also recognize him in the breaking of bread (Luke 24:30-35).

Eucharistic Miracle of GRUARO (VALVASONE) ITALY, 1294

Among the most authoritative documents which describe the Eucharistic miracle which took place at Gruaro in 1294 is that of local historian Antonio Nicoletti (1765). A woman was washing one of the altar linens of the Church of St. Giusto in the public wash house of Versiola. Suddenly she saw the altar linen become tinged with Blood. Observing more closely, she noted that the Blood was flowing from a consecrated Particle remaining among the folds of the cloth.

Gruaro 1The relic of this miracle is kept in the Church of the Most Holy Body of Christ in Valvasone, but the miracle happened in Gruaruo. In 1294, a young housemaid went to the public wash-house of Versiola to wash the altar linens of the Church of St. Giusto in Gruaro. Suddenly, the woman noticed that a consecrated Host had remained by mistake among the folds of the cloth and that Blood was flowing from the Host.

Frightened by this inexplicable event, she immediately ran to alert the pastor who then informed the Bishop of Concordia, Giacomo di Ottonello from Cividade. The Bishop, having learned the facts, asked to be able to keep the cloth of the miracle in his Cathedral in Concordia. However, the pastor of Gruaro and the family of the Counts of Valvasone, patrons of the churches of Gruaro and of Valvasone, wanted to keep the cloth.

Gruaro 2No agreement was reached, and so it was decided to seek recourse with the Holy See. In the end, Rome let the Counts keep the relic, on the condition that they would build a church dedicated to the Most Holy Body of Christ. The construction of the church was completed in 1483.

The oldest and most authoritative document describing the miracle is a decree of Pope Nicholas V written in 1454. The title of the parish church, formerly St. Mary and St. John the Evangelist was thereby changed to the Church of the Most Holy Body of Christ (March 28, 1454). Today, the cloth is kept in a crystal cylinder, held by a precious reliquary of silver made by master craftsman Antonio Calligari. The celebration of the Holy Cloth is commemorated on the 5th Thursday of Lent, at the end of days of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, with the participation of the priests and of the community of Valvasone. During the celebration of Corpus Christi, the reliquary is carried in procession with the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle in St. Jack Parish in Legnica Poland 2013

Posted by Donald Hartley - April 19th, 2016

JOHN-HARDON-SJ-TRUTHFather Hardon is one of my heroes, listen to him as he speaks on the Holy Eucharist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Then share with those you love, the most recent Eucharistic Miracle approved THIS YEAR !!! Love and mercy to each of you, GregoryMary

The Sacred Heart is the Holy Eucharist

Why do we make this equation? What do we mean when we say the Sacred Heart is the Holy Eucharist? We begin by recalling the centuries of Church teaching on what the term “Sacred Heart” expresses. The Sacred Heart signifies Christ’s love in three ways: God is love, God is loving and God loves with human feeling.

sacred heart 1God is love. The Sacred Heart symbolizes the love that is God. From all eternity, God is love. That is the primary meaning of God as a Divine Community and not a single person. The essence of love is to give, and within the Trinity, each of the three Divine Persons from all eternity shares the divine nature that each one possesses. When we say God is love, we are defining God as that Community of three Divine Persons who, from all eternity, each share with the other the fullness of what each one not only has, but of what each one is.

God is loving. God is loving not only by bringing us into being, but by bringing us into being as creatures who are capable of love. God could of made us insects or animals or trees or lofty mountains, but these cannot think and love. When this loving God chose to create other beings, it was only because He is loving that He wanted to share what He as God had from all eternity (love) with beings who would not even exist without His love. From the moment of creation and into the endless reaches of eternity, God will continue loving us. If He were to cease loving us, we would cease to exist! God manifested His love by bringing us into existence and making us creatures who are capable of love.

Baby JesusBut God also manifested His by becoming one of us, and, having become one of us, He has remained and will be for all eternity one of us. When the Word became Flesh, It became Flesh not only for a time, but for all eternity. God will remain Incarnate forever. This loving God, who out of love for us became man and died on the Cross to show His love for us, this God became man and remains man, but He remains man on earth.

It is no exaggeration to say that the Sacred Heart is the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is the same Infinite Love who is God and who out of love for us became man and is here on earth. When we receive Him, that same God is within us. Love wants us to be intimate. Love wants us to be near. Love wants us to be close to the one whom it loves. The Holy Eucharist is divine genius!

margaretmaryGod loves with human feeling. The third meaning which the Church gives to the Sacred Heart as symbolizing God’s love is that God loves not only as God but also as the God-man with human feeling, human emotion, human sensibility and human sensitivity. We creatures of feeling, emotion and sensitivity need to hear this. God in the Holy Eucharist is man indeed, but with all the supreme sensitivity. Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is a sensitive Christ. He feels. St. Margaret Mary tells us that Christ in the Eucharist senses in a way we as hypersensitive human beings can understand.

Wives tell me, “I spend hours cooking the meal and all my husband does is sit down, eat and even ask for more. But he never thanks me!” Or among religious, “Father, you have no idea how much it hurts me to know that when we pass in the corridor, he does not even look at me.” How sensitive we are! How we need to know that God became a sensitive human being! When we come to Him in the Blessed Sacrament, He wants us to tell Him how we feel, and He will tell us how He feels. When we come to Church, we should not leave our heart in the car. When Christ came to earth, He did not leave His Heart in heaven.

Eucharistic Miracle in St. Jack Parish in Legnica Poland 2013

Rome, April 13, 2016: Our Most High Lord Jesus Christ, who in His Great and Authentic Mercy keeps His promise to us, His Faithful, on a daily basis: Lo, I am with you all days until the consummation of the age, Mt 28:20, has worked another Eucharistic:

Poland miracleThis Miracle, which proves the promise of Our Lord in Matthew, chapter 28, 20, is to remind us of what Our Lord said in the same passage, regarding remaining faithful to Him! The Great Commission (Mt. 28:16‑20) 16 And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And seeing them they adored: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. 19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

Eucharistic Miracles also reveal that the Price or Cost to merit the Eucharist for us, WAS THE MOST BLOODY AND TERRIBLE SUFFERING OF OUR LORD IN HIS SACRED PASSION, a suffering which HE HAD TO UNDERGO out of Divine Justice on account of the Mortal Sins of mankind. For even if only one of us had committed one mortal sin, Our Lord in justice would have had to suffer the Passion and die, to make atonement for it!

Poland miracle 1This miracle was approved by Msgr. Zbigniew Kiernikowski, the Catholic Bishop of Legnica, Poland. Here are the facts, according to Paula Luckhurst: On the 25th of December, 2013, in the Diocese of Legnica a Host fell on the floor. It was put in a container with water to dissolve but after some time it turned red. The then Bishop of Legnica appointed a Commission to study the phenomenon. In February 2014, the Host which remained was a singled fragment and was deposited on a corporal. The Commission ordered the taking of samples and conduct tests by different authorities.

The Department of Forensic Medicine stated that “the histopathological tissue fragments were found containing fragmented part of the skeletal muscle. (…) The whole image (…) is the most similar to the heart muscle “(…) with the changes that “often are accompanied by the agony ” of death. Genetic studies indicate the human origin of the tissue.”

Poland miracle 2The matter was presented to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for review. A message from the Bishop of Legnica on this matter was issued two days ago and will be read in the fourth Sunday of Easter, 17 April 2016 in all the Churches of the Diocese.

Here is another report about the Miracle, which is a rough translation by a non‑native speaker of Polish, but which we report verbatim. St. Jack’s Church is according to a commentary below, better translated at St. Hyacinth’s Church, named after a famous Polish Dominican (O.P.):

Banner with information about miracle before a press conference at the St. Jack Church in Legnica, Poland, 12 April 2016. On 11 April 2016 the Bishop of Legnica Zbigniew Kiernikowski announced the signs of the Eucharistic miracle that happened at the St. Jack Parish in Legnica during the Holy Communion on 25 December 2013 when a consecrated Host fell to the floor, was picked up and placed in a water‑filled container (vasculum). Soon after, stains of red colour appeared and former Legnica bishop Cichy set up a commission to observe the phenomenon.

poland miracle 3In February 2014, a tiny red fragment of the Host was seperated and put on a corporal. The Commission ordered to take samples in order to conduct thorough tests by the relevant research institutes. the Department of Forensic Medicine in Szczecin conducted research and announced that in the histopathological image, the fragments of tissue have been found containing the fragmented parts of the cross striated muscle, which is most similar to the heart muscle with alterations that often appear during the agony.

In a letter read in all the parishes in the diocese of Legnica Sunday, Bp. Zbigniew Kiernikowski announced the formal approval of a eucharistic miracle and granted permission to venerate the relic. According to the letter: 4/19/2016 Eucharistic Miracle Confirmed in Poland at St. Jacek parish. In order to analyze the fragment, the Commission ordered the taking of samples and conducted appropriate tests by different competent authorities. The final judgment of the Department of Forensic Medicine states: “The histopathological tissue fragments were found containing a fragmented part of the skeletal muscle. … The whole image … is most similar to the heart muscle … as it appears under the strains of agony. Genetic studies indicate the origin as human tissue.” In January this year, I presented the whole matter to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Today, according to the Holy See, I recommend that the parish priest, Andrzej Ziombrze, prepare a suitable place for the Relic so that the faithful might give it honor. I also ask for visitors to be provided relevant information and to offer thorough Catechesis to help properly form the faithful in their understanding of Eucharistic worship. Moreover, I’m ordering that a book be provided to record any graces received or other supernatural events. I hope all of this will serve to deepen veneration for the Eucharist and will profoundly impact the lives of those approaching the relic. We see this marvelous sign as a special expression of God’s kindness and love, Who so humbles Himself before man. I cordially ask for your prayers and I bless you, + Zbigniew Kiernikowski Bishop of Legnica 4/19/2016

The tissue was observed to start bleeding. Under scientific analysis, the Host was shown to be part of the heart muscle. The head of the archdiocese, Abp. Edward Ozorowski, told Catholics at Mass that the “substance of Christ’s Body or Blood has become available to the human senses, and this also happened in Sokolka.” The bleeding Host was displayed in a reliquary during a procession by the town priest, with about a thousand of the faithful following.

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle “Saint Juan of the Abadesas”

Posted by Donald Hartley - April 7th, 2016

PADRE PIO prayer after receiving The Eucharist:

Eucharist d 3“Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You. Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often. Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without fervor. Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You, I am in darkness. Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will. Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You. Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much, and always be in Your company. Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You. Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love. Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close, and life passes; death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches, I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile! Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers. I need You. Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart. Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to You, if not by communion, at least by grace and love. Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You! Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more. With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.” To Jesus through Mary, GregoryMary

Saint John AbbassEucharistic Miracle “Saint Juan of the Abadesas”

In 887, the Count Vifred founded a monastery in the Pirenean region of Catalonia, around which a village developed almost immediately, called even today “Saint John of the Abbesses” (“San Juan of the Abadesas”). Here a crucifix is preserved with a Host, kept intact since 1251, imbedded in the forehead of the statue of Jesus.

In 1251 some artistic works in wood were done in the church of the monastery, depicting the deposition of Jesus from the Cross, with the figures of Jesus and His Mother Mary, Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus, Saint John the disciple Jesus loved, and the two thieves.

These beautiful statues, saved from the destruction of the 1936 Spanish Civil War, cause great emotion in many people because of their expression. Jesus’ head especially, is impressively beautiful.

Saint John abbess 1When the statue was carved the artist made a depression in Jesus’ forehead, approximately two and a half inches in diameter, with the idea of preserving the Eucharist in it. In 1251 someone put a consecrated Host there, but the memory of this was lost in time.

Only in 1426, while working to restore the statues, the cavity in the forehead of the crucifix was discovered, sealed by a small silver plaque. Inside, wrapped in a white linen cloth, the Host consecrated in 1251 was found, totally uncorrupted. Since then, that Host, known as “The Most Holy Mystery of Saint John of the Abbesses”, is adored and visited by numerous pilgrims.

“When he (Jesus) was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight. They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the scriptures?” And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together and those who were with them, who said, “The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.”

Eucharistic Procession Through ArsThroughout the world pilgrims continue to host pilgrimages in honor of the great Eucharistic Miracles showing Christ’s presence among us today.  At each and every Mass Jesus is made manifest before us again and again.  Jesus continues to show His love for us, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly. I offer you the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which he is offended. And, through the infinite merits of his Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.

The Guardian Angel: The Eucharistic Miracle of Mogoro Italy, 1604

Posted by Donald Hartley - March 30th, 2016

mogoro 4This past Easter Sunday Marks the 412th anniversary of a Eucharistic Miracle that took place on the Island of Sardinia 1604. During the Easter Mass, two men who had not been practicing their Catholic Faith, they were well known in the community of not being the holiest guys around. Perhaps they were Christmas and Easter Catholics, maybe they were having known affairs. St. Paul warns us that serious sin has serious consequences. Consider Galatians 5:1921:

“Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, party spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

People can be morally sick and not know it. That is what our two men were about to learn, I call it a learned blessing because they learned from it. How many people today are not awake and living the same kinds of moral decay? They think by going to Easter Mass they are good to go.

Father Salvatore Spiga, the Pastor of St. Bernard Church in Mogoro Italy was celebrating Easter Mass with the usual large crowds. Many visitors arrived visiting family and friends traveling miles and miles. Did you know that a main reason for incense in those days were to hide the smell of pilgrims body order? That is an interesting point that also reminds us that our souls need to be cleansed as do our bodies.

As Catholics, we believe that at the moment of the consecration Eucharist, Jesus truly becomes present in the form of Bread and wine (Matthew 26:26-28). Jesus is truly present body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist, or better said, the consecrated Host becomes Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:27-29):

“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.”

Mogoro 1As Father Salvatore was distributing Holy Communion, he recognized the two men in line coming to the Communion rail. With reservation, they both were given Holy Communion when they became violently agitated. Both men spit the Eucharist our of their mouths complaining the Host had burned their tongues. Quite shaken, Father quickly went to retrieve the Sacred Consecrated Hosts that had been lodged behind the Altar rail when he realized that the Hosts had left an imprint on the stone cold floor.

Father had the area cleaned several times but the imprints could not be washed off the floor. Father asked the two men what happened and they told him that upon receiving the Sacred Host, the Host became like a hot burning ember scorching their tongues. Both men had the same affect.

Is there a teaching to glean from this: Consider Isaiah 6:1-8:

Mogoro 6“In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim; each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.” And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!” Then flew one of the seraphim to me, having in his hand a burning coal which he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin forgiven.” And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

We should be coming up to receive the Eucharist with humility and thankfulness. Not as a right, but as an invitation, a call, send me oh Lord, send me.

I also compare this with Revelation 8:3-5:

Mogoro 7“And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth; and there were peals of thunder, voices, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.”

What is happening at the Altar of the Lord is taking place on all Catholic Altars all around the world. Not only is Isaiah being sent, we are all being sent to go into the world and bring the sinner home. That is our call. James 5:19-20

Our two heros in this story both recognized that they were sinners, what a great grace they were given. Hopefully, we are listening here! This was a great wake up call. This call is for all of us. With their remorse, they realized the need for Confession:

“If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” John 20:23

Father Salvatore was about to pick up the Sacred Hosts when he realized that the Hosts left an imprint where the Hosts had landed. It was like a charred imprint burned onto the stone floor. The areas were thoroughly washed but nothing could get the imprints to come off. Several times they attempted to clean off the imprints until Father called for the local Bishop, Antonio Surredo who called for an investigation.

mogoro 2mogoro 3There was not natural explanation for the imprints or the fact they could not be washed off. On May 25, 1686, a wooden tabernacle was erected over the main Altar that was placed the the preserved stone with the miraculous imprints. At the base of the tabernacle it reads, “The Stone Of The Miracle”. Luke 19:40 talks about the rocks crying out when mankind forgets to praise Jesus name:

“I tell you, if these were silent (the faithful people), the very stones would cry out.”

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli, Italy, 1570

Posted by Donald Hartley - March 23rd, 2016

Mary in blueThe most perfect creature God made for all eternity was Mary, and besides her love and obedience, she has never been equaled in her humility. We must ask her Son Jesus to mode us into HIS Mother, so that she can mode us into HIM. Love and prayers in Christ, GregoryMary

Imitating Christ in the Eucharist

Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

The most popular book in the world, after the Bible, is The Imitation of Christ. Since it was published in the early fifteenth century, it has deeply influenced the spirituality of millions of believing Christians. Its basic theme is that, since Jesus Christ is true God and true man, by imitating Christ as man, we become more and more like Christ, who is God.

We commonly associate the imitation of Christ by following the example He gave us during His mortal and visible stay in Palestine two thousand years ago. However, as the great Eucharistic saints make clear, we are also to imitate Christ in the Holy Eucharist. After all, that is one reason why He instituted this sacrament. By reflecting on the virtues which the glorified Savior manifests in the Eucharist, we are inspired to imitate Him now living on earth in the sacrament of His love.

Before we go any further, let us be very clear in understanding that the whole Christ, in the fullness of His divinity and humanity, is among us in what we casually call the Real Presence. It is the same identical Jesus who was conceived in the womb of His Mother, who was born in Bethlehem, who lived for some thirty years in Palestine, who died on the cross on the first Good Friday, who rose from the dead on Easter Sunday, and who is now seated at the right hand of His heavenly Father.

jesus (1)This now glorified Jesus is living among us as the primary source of the grace we need to reach our celestial destiny.

There are three forms of the sacrament of the Eucharist, as Real Presence, as the Sacrifice of the Mass, and as Holy Communion. We are to imitate the Eucharistic Christ on each of these three levels and obtain from Him the power we need to become more holy, which means to become more Christlike.

HUMILITY AND THE REAL PRESENCE

We know what humility is. It is the virtue that keeps a person from reaching beyond himself. It is the virtue that restrains the unholy desire for personal greatness and leads people to an orderly love of themselves based on a true appreciation of their position with respect to God and their neighbor. Humility recognizes one’s total dependence on God. Yet humility is not only opposed to pride; it is also opposed to immoderate self-abjection, which would fail to recognize God’s gifts and use them according to His divine will.

Jesus (2)Humility is the one virtue that Christ most stressed in teaching us to follow Him. “Learn of Me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” During His whole visible stay on earth, Jesus practiced humility to a degree beyond our comprehension. A good definition of the Incarnation is the humiliation of God. The Creator of the universe, without losing His infinity, assumed our humanity. The Creator became a creature.

Now we turn to Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. During His visible stay on earth, the Savior concealed His divinity so that only His humanity could be seen. But in the Holy Eucharist, He hides not only His divinity but His humanity as well.

No one has improved on the hymn, Adoro Te, of St. Thomas in which we pray: “Only the Godhead was hidden on the cross, but here the humanity is hidden as well. Yet I believe and acknowledge them both, and make the same request as did the repentant thief. I do not see the marks of the wounds, as Thomas did, yet I too own You as my God. Grant me to believe in You always more and more.”

EucharistWhatever else is humility, it is not displaying the talents or the gifts we possess. Passage after passage in The Imitation of Christ tells us to be humble. Like the Savior, hidden in the Real Presence of the Eucharist, we literally hide what others may see and praise. Says A’ Kempis, “this is the highest science, truly to know and despise ourselves.” And again St. Bernard, “Humility is the mother of salvation.”

Where do we obtain the grace to be truly humble, which means never to exhibit, never to display, never to show off who we are or what we have in order to be praised by others? Where do we obtain this grace? From Jesus Christ, present in the Eucharist. The almighty God who became the Son of Mary appears now on earth only as what seems to be a piece of bread. We must beg Him, and I mean beg Him in the Blessed Sacrament to give us the humility, without which we cannot reach our heavenly destiny.

SELF-SURRENDER AND THE MASS

Jesus heals 18In the Sacrifice of the Mass, Jesus offers Himself to His heavenly Father just as truly as He offered Himself on the Cross. On Calvary, He offered Himself by shedding His blood and thus merited the salvation of the world. In the Mass, He continues to offer Himself just as truly as He did on the first Good Friday. But now, He confers the graces that He won for us on Calvary. What are these graces? In one sentence, they are the graces we need to surrender ourselves to the will of God.

The Church defines sacrifice as the voluntary surrender of something precious to God. That is why Christ continues to sacrifice Himself to His heavenly Father in every Mass that has been offered for the twenty centuries of Christianity. In every Mass, Jesus Christ is present in the fullness of His human nature and therefore with His human will. That is what the double consecration at Mass is all about. It signifies that Jesus is just as willing to shed His blood for our salvation as He willingly and actually shed His blood on Calvary. As the glorified Redeemer, He can no longer die. But He is willing to die.

It is from the Sacrifice of the Mass offered throughout the world that we obtain the strength we need to surrender ourselves to the divine will in this valley of tears.

As we all know from personal experience, God can make heavy demands on our generosity. He will send us trials and difficulties and sufferings. Why? In order that we may prove our submission to His divine will. God will take away so many things, dare I say everything that we consider precious in this world. Again why? In order that we may recognize Him as our Lord and ourselves as His servants.

humility-inspired-by-JesusNo words can describe the depth of this necessity to surrender our created wills to the divine will of the Creator. Where, where can we obtain the courage we need to make this self-surrender? Where, except from the God who died on the Cross for our salvation and continues to offer Himself in every Mass.

The lesson this should teach us is obvious. We must assist at Mass as often as we can. We must learn to live the Mass by putting into practice the graces which the Savior gives us through the Holy Sacrifice.

One more observation, in the form of a long quotation from Pope Pius XII in his encyclical Mediator Dei, which is the foundation of the true spirit of the Second Vatican Council.

It is desirable that all the faithful should be aware that to participate in the Eucharistic sacrifice is their chief duty and supreme dignity, and that not in an inert and negligent fashion, giving way to distractions and day-dreaming, but with such earnestness and concentration that they may be united as closely as possible with the High Priest, according to the apostle, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus(Phil. 2, 5). And together with Him and through Him let them make their oblation, and in union with Him let them offer up themselves.

CameraI do not think I need apologize for this long quotation. The widespread liturgical abuses in the offering of Mass should only inspire us to participate in the Holy Sacrifice as often and as fervently as possible. Saints like Leonard of Port Maurice do not hesitate to say that the world would long ago have been destroyed for its sins except for the Sacrifice of the Mass.

It is through the Mass we are able to imitate Jesus Christ in living lives of total self? Surrender to the will of God.

SELF-LESS LOVE AND HOLY COMMUNION

We are speaking about the Imitation of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. What does He reveal to us when we receive Him in Holy Communion? He shows us how deeply and completely He loves us.

Whatever else love may seem to be, it is the giving of oneself to the one whom we love. Could Christ have shown His love for us more completely than by instituting the Eucharist as the communion of Himself with ourselves? When we receive Him, we receive the whole Christ, divinity and humanity, body and soul, flesh and blood. As the Church has solemnly defined, in Holy Communion we receive everything that makes Christ Christ. In Latin, we receive the totum Christum.

Jesus heals 21Here we could begin not just the closing of this conference but a two semester series of lectures on the blessings of Holy Communion.

We are to imitate Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. When He comes to us in the Sacrament of Communion He shows us how deeply He loves us. But Holy Communion is not only a manifestation of His selfless love. It is also, and especially, the principal source of the strength we need to love Him with our whole heart and to love others out of love for Him.

That is why true love includes pain. It is the pain of giving up what I want out of love for the God who provides me with the privilege of proving my love by surrendering my heart to His Sacred Heart. That is also why the true love of others means that I am ready, even happy, to suffer for the one I claim to love, like the one I say I love, with the one whom I love and, what is most demanding, suffering from the one whom I love.

All of this would be pious fiction except for our faith. We believe that every Holy Communion enables us to do the humanly impossible, to practice the heroic charity which the Savior tells us is the hallmark of being a true Christian, “You are my disciples if you love one another even as I have loved you.” Jesus died on His cross out of love for us. By receiving Him often, even daily, we are enabled to die on our daily cross out of love for those whom He puts into our lives to show how much we love Him.

Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli, Italy, 1570

Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli, Italy, 1570During Easter of 1570 in the Church of St. Erasmus in Veroli, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed (at the time, the Blessed Sacrament was first placed in a round pyx and then placed in a large chalice, covered with a paten) for the Forty Hours of public adoration. The Child Jesus appeared in the exposed Host and manifested many graces. Today, the chalice where the Blessed Sacrament was exposed is kept in the same Church of St. Erasmus and is used once a year at the celebration of Mass on Easter Tuesday.

At Easter in 1570 in the Church of St. Erasmus, the consecrated Host, according to the traditional rite at the time, was placed in a round silver container (pyx) and placed in a burse-like holder. This was later placed in a large, ceremonial silver chalice with its paten; the whole wrapped in an elegant silk cloth. It should be mentioned that at that time exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance was not a widespread practice, even though the Council of Cologne (1452) specifically referred to the monstrance.

It was the custom for each civil confraternity to be present for an hour of adoration before the exposed Blessed Sacrament. It was at one of these hours of adoration which had the members of the Confraternity of Mercy (which predated both the Confraternity of Corpus Christi and of our Blessed Lady) vested in their black robes and kneeling in prayer.

Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli, Italy - 1570 1The most authentic document about this Eucharistic miracle was taken immediately by the chancery. This document is preserved in the archives of the Church of St. Erasmus. The detailed deposition and account of the miraculous event is given by a Giacomo Meloni who was among the first witnesses. His testimony follows: “Raising my eyes towards the chalice, I saw a most brilliant star at the base of the chalice’s cup, and above the star, the Blessed Sacrament in the size of the Host used by the priest at Mass. The star was attached to the Blessed Sacrament (…). The vision ended when small children in adoration, similar to small angels, were seen around the Sacred Host…”.

To this day, this miraculous event is commemorated with solemn ceremony in the presence of the bishop.

The chalice, its paten, and the silver pyx where the Blessed Sacrament was exposed, have all been preserved and they remain with the relics/ reliquaries of the saints. The Sacred Species (the consecrated Bread) of the miraculous Host of Veroli was consumed after 112 years.

Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli, Italy - 1570 2In 1970 on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the miracle, the Third Eucharistic Congress of the Diocese of Veroli-Frosinone was celebrated. The adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every First Friday of the month, with all other churches being closed (…).

Soul of Christ, sanctify me Body of Christ, save me Blood of Christ, inebriate me Water from Christ’s side, wash me Passion of Christ, strengthen me O good Jesus, hear me Within Thy wounds hide me Suffer me not to be separated from Thee From the malicious enemy defend me In the hour of my death call me And bid me come unto Thee That I may praise Thee with Thy saints and with Thy angels Forever and ever Amen.

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of Ivorra, Spain 1010

Posted by Donald Hartley - March 9th, 2016

Timothy 2In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and because he is coming to rule as King, I solemnly urge you to preach the message, to insist upon proclaiming it (whether the time is right or not), to convince, reproach, and encourage, as you teach with all patience. The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends. But you must keep control of yourself in all circumstances; endure suffering, do the work of a preacher of the Good News, and perform your whole duty as a servant of God. 2 Timothy 4:1-5

jesus_before_pilateWe must as Catholics be vigilant daily, knowing that Satan over the centuries, and even today, has trapped Shepherds and lay leaders inside the Catholic Church to do things that would take souls away from Christ. You and I must pray daily that this onslaught from Satan is turned back, and that all Shepherds be returned to the Deposit of Faith as given to us by Jesus Himself. It would be better if no one in the leadership of the church would say anything, unless it was spoken as Jesus would speak it, who said to Pilot, “The reason I came is to bear witness to the Truth.” We must stop the onslaught of opinions that have caused confusion, and many to fall away. We must persevere in prayer that the Mercy of God will silence the deception spoken of in Scripture that will be given to people so that they will not listen to sound doctrine. So many of our brothers and sisters that call themselves Catholic, have started to follow their own desires, which includes clerics, and they have turned to teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. Which can cause the fall of many of your children and grandchildren, family, and friends that are put into your path.

lamp 1So what can we do? Listen and learn the meaning and wisdom of God in the Scripture, as I repeat God’s inspired word, “But you must keep control of yourself in all circumstances; endure suffering, do the work of a preacher of the Good News, and perform your whole duty as a servant of God.” I can tell you this and know that it is the infallible word of God, but you have to say yes, you have to give your ‘Fiat’ like Mary did. You of course always have the free will to say yes or no. Your decision can make a difference in eternity for you and those you love, so decide wisely.

I for one, will pray for you daily, along with those you love and those put into your path, that through God’s Mercy, which I Trust totally, each of you will be given the grace to say yes to God’s will and to die to your own will. This is a tough thing for many to embrace, to die to self, but it must be prayed for daily, and will give a smile to our Holy Mother Mary, as she intercedes to her Son, for our souls. Remind yourself daily to be vigilant and that this is not game. My love and prayers in Christ, to Jesus through Mary, GregoryMary

Eucharistic Miracle of Ivorra, Spain * 1010

The parish priest of this town doubted the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. One day in the year 1010, while celebrating Mass, the miracle occurred: the wine contained in the chalice was converted entirely into live Blood. At present, the Sacred Relics are preserved in a gothic reliquary from 1426 that contains the altar cloth spotted with Blood, and other relics given from Pope Sergius IV to Saint Ermengol.

ivorraThe heretical doctrines that denied the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist began to spread throughout all of Europe in the eleventh century. The priest of Ivorra, Bernat Oliver, also doubted the reality of Transubstantiation.

While he celebrated Mass, a miracle suddenly occurred: the wine in the chalice was converted into Blood and poured onto the altar cloth, flowing onto the ground. The Bishop of Urgell, Saint Ermengol, informed of what happened, was immediately brought to Ivorra to confirm the facts in person, which were then reported directly to Pope Sergius IV in Rome.

He then signed a Pontifical Bull in which it was certified that a true miracle occurred. The relics of the miracle and the pontifical document were placed under the high altar of the Parochial church of Ivorra, titled to San Cugat, and inaugurated in the year 1055 from the Bishop Guillem de Urgell.

At present the sacred relics are preserved in a gothic reliquary from 1426 that contains the altar cloth stained with Blood and other relics given from Pope Sergius IV to Saint Ermengol.

In 1663, to satisfy the requirements of the great number of pilgrims that went to venerate the miracle every year, the present sanctuary was built. Even today, after all of these years, on the second Sunday of Easter, an important feast is celebrated, known by the name “la Santa Duda” in reference to the “doubt” of Bernat Oliver, the priest of Ivorra, and the great miracle.

doubt 2Bernat Oliver would not be the first to doubt Jesus, we see this also in the Gospel of John 20:19-31, “On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side, I will not believe.” Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Of course, St. Thomas forever will be remembered as the “Doubting Thomas”.

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of TIXTLA MEXICO, OCTOBER 21, 2006

Posted by Donald Hartley - January 26th, 2016

Guardian 1(Editors Note) We love to share Eucharistic Miracles here on Deepertruth and on our Radio shows, the Lord Jesus is so good. This miracle that we are about to share is amazing, I want to thank my Brother, the Guardian Angel, for his continued growth. May this jubilee, the Year of Mercy be a year of grace for the Church and for the world.

Awesome!!! Eucharistic Miracle to prepare you for a special blessing, God knows the past, present and future. HE is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrew 13:8). He put us here at this moment in time and in this place knowing full well the gravity of the moral decay of our times. His grace if overflowing in abundance and we must tap into this infinite storehouse of grace. We should be ashamed if we set back and allow lives and souls to be lost during our watch.

Jesus and MaryIt could be contended that we live in the most highly educated nation in the world’s history. But, except for a small remnant, most Catholics in America are abysmally ignorant of God’s laws and His promises as taught by the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. We have to work at getting past the rhetoric, and taking action for the lives and souls of the children and our neighbors. Why are we doing this, “to honor and glorify Jesus” and take action to bring souls to HIM through HIS Mother Mary.

As you have heard me say before, “This is no game, it is a WAR against the powers and principalities for the lives and souls of our children and neighbors for eternity.” It is a War of ideas and philosophy and values, and only the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth and the answers. Unless true and loyal Catholics have the zeal and the spirit of the early Christians, and unless they are willing to do what they did and to pay the price that they paid, the days of many Catholics are numbered.

guardian 2All of us have family and friends that have fallen away from the faith, or have never came home to the Catholic Church, or maybe we have been at some time, or have family members that are luke warm in their faith. You have seen the indifference that plagues the world and is even in our Church. It says in Hosea 4:6, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” On our watch, people are dying and going to Hell, and again we have those we know that are at risk, as many are doing what is right in their own eyes, like in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37).

What was once referred to by Pope Paul VI as Satan’s smoke making its way into the temple of God, could be looked at today as a raging fire. Catholicism and the world seem to be in the worst crisis in the entire history of the world. Even with all this evil in the world, we have been given the greatest gift in the Catholic Church, the Mass, the Eucharist, and Mary, yet many by the Churches own research are weak in these areas and many others. Like Cardinal Burke said, we have had poor Catechizes for the last 50 years, and because of that many are at risk.

tum 0With the Eucharistic Miracles, we are always trusting of God and hope we can help catechize and affirm many Catholic’s faith, help draw others back to the Catholic church, and bring still others home to the Catholic church for the first time as they “get it”.

Again, this is no game, we are talking about lives and souls, send this to those you love, and all that God has put into your path. Help yourself and others become better equipped and affirmed in your faith. Each of us needs to be a part of this for ourselves and those we love, living in this decaying culture. Divine Mercy is always our theme as we ask Our Lady, the Mother of Mercy to bring us and those we love, ever closer to her Son. To Jesus through Mary, GregoryMary

Now prepare to be excited, as science again affirms the supernatural in another Eucharistic Miracle given to us out of the Divine Mercy and Love of our Creator.

Eucharistic Miracle of TIXTLA MEXICO, OCTOBER 21, 2006

On October 12, 2013, H.E. Most Rev. Alejo Zavala Castro, Bishop of the Diocese of Chilpancingo-Chilapa, announced through a Pastoral Letter the recognition of the Eucharistic Miracle that occurred at Tixtla, on October 21, 2006.

guardian 3In the letter we read: “This manifestation brings to us a marvelous sign of the love of God that confirms the Real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist… In my role as Bishop of the Diocese I recognize the supernatural character of the series of events relating to the Bleeding Host of Tixtla… I declare the case as a “Divine Sign …”.

On October 21, 2006, the effusion of a reddish substance was noted from a consecrated Host during the Eucharistic Celebration at Tixtla, in the Diocese of Chilpancingo-Chilapa. The Bishop of the place, Most Reverend Alejo Zavala Castro, then convened a Theological Commission of investigation and, in October 2009, he invited Doctor Ricardo Castañón Gómez, to take on the leadership of the program of scientific research whose purpose was in fact that of verifying the said event.

The Mexican Ecclesiastical authorities turned to Doctor Castañón Gómez because they were aware that, in the years 1999-2006, the scientist had conducted some studies on two consecrated Hosts that also bled in the Parish of Saint Mary, in Buenos Aires.

guardian 4The Mexican case starts in October 2006, when Father Leopoldo Roque, pastor of the Parish of Saint Martin of Tours, invites Father Raymundo Reyna Esteban to lead a spiritual retreat for his parishioners. As Father Leopoldo and another priest were distributing Communion, assisted by a religious sister who was to the left of Father Raymundo, this latter one turns towards him with the “pix” containing the Sacred Particles, looking at Father with eyes filled with tears, an incident that immediately attracted the attention of the celebrant: the Host that she had taken to give Communion to a lady parishioner had begun to effuse a reddish substance.

“The ecclesiastical authority wanted likewise to specify that in a Catholic context the Miracle distinguishes itself for the following aspects: 1. Theological: The intervention comes from God. It is of divine origin. 2. Objectivity: The ‘alteration’ of the causes or natural laws is evident. 3. Subjectivity: Whoever accepts the miracle ‘recognizes or accepts’ with an act of Faith that the extraordinary event comes from the loving Will of God. 4. Purpose: It has as its end the good of one or many people.”

guardian 5The scientific research conducted between October 2009 and October 2012 came to the following conclusions, presented on May 25, 2013 during the course of an international Symposium held by the Diocese of Chilpancingo, on the occasion of the Year of Faith, and which saw the participation of millions of people coming from four continents:

1. The reddish substance analyzed corresponds to blood in which there are hemoglobin and DNA of human origin.

guardian 62. Two studies conducted by eminent forensic experts with different methodologies have shown that the substance originates from the interior, excluding the hypothesis that someone could have placed it from the exterior.

3.The blood type is AB, similar to the one found in the Host of Lanciano and in the Holy Shroud of Turin.

4. A microscopic analysis of magnification and penetration reveals that the superior part of the blood has been coagulated since October 2006. Moreover, the underlying internal layers reveal, in February 2010, the presence of fresh blood.

5. They also found intact white blood cells, red blood cells, and active macrophages that engulf lipids. The tissue in question appears lacerated and with recovery mechanisms, exactly as occurs in a living tissue.

guardian 76. A further histopathological analysis determines the presence of protein structures in a state of deterioration, suggesting mesenchymal cells, very specialized cells, characterized by an elevated biophysiological dynamism.

7. The immunohistochemical studies reveal that the tissue found corresponds to the muscle of the heart (Myocardium). On account of the scientific results and the conclusions reached by the theological committee, last October 12 the Bishop of Chilpancingo, his Eminence Alejo Zavala Castro, announced the following: - “The event does not have a natural explanation. – It does not have paranormal origin. – It is not traceable to manipulation of the enemy.”

Blood flowed from the interior of the host towards the exterior, as it occurs with a wound.

In 2010, by means of a study of digital microscopic penetration through the shooting of ultraviolet rays and intense white light it was demonstrated that the tissue seen in the upper part of the Host showed some dry coagulated blood. The analyses showed moreover that under the Blood already coagulated beyond some structures of the white Host, there was also the presence of fresh Blood. Also this analysis confirmed the fact that the blood was not placed by someone from the exterior because if it were like this it could not remain fresh for so much time (from 2006 to 2010) only in the internal part of the Host.

guardian 8By analyzing the Host it was observed that it was human blood of type AB and that it corresponded to tissue. Then an analysis was done of phytochemical markers which confirmed that it was live cardiac muscle. No study exists that can maintain alive a cardiac tissue in this situation. Normally after 48 hours the tissue dies, here 3 months passed before the result could be obtained and this is truly unexplainable for science.

When there is the presence of human DNA one thinks that also the genetic profile can be automatically obtained. Interestingly in all the studies performed on the images that sweated blood or in the consecrated Hosts that have bled the presence of DNA was found, but when the work of sequencing to extract the genetic profile was done, they were never able to obtain it. The theologians say that since Jesus does not have a father, his father is the Holy Spirit, it is not possible to obtain his genetic profile.

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.” 1 Corinthians 11:26-30

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of SOKÓŁKA POLAND, OCTOBER 12, 2008

Posted by Donald Hartley - January 18th, 2016

Crdinal BurkIt is so hard for me to contain myself on this Eucharistic Miracle, don’t stop till you read all of the Miracle that follows this commentary, it is better than awesome, and I am going to see how I can go see this weeks Miracle, and next weeks Miracle, I already have my passport, and if it is God’s will, Mary please ask Jesus, I want to go see these two miracles, and more while at both locations. So read this weeks and next weeks more than once. You will also see in this weeks Miracle, that Satan already has his dupes out trying to downplay the miracle, and you will see how Jesus used the scientists to give them a swat, as they showed how Satan’s fakes were against the truth. Wow, Wow, Wow.

I just returned from another Marian Conference this weekend in St. Louis, which to me is the one put into my path years ago, to start bringing it to other areas of the state, and then inviting them all over the state during the year to come to the one in St. Louis if they have a chance.

kiser 3I was blessed with to see and be blessed by many other Servant Spiritual Warriors for Jesus, Mary and the Catholic Church. But always the greatest blessings I receive is the Mass and the Adoration Chapel*** Many times the Adoration Chapel is packed to capacity, and there is a constant line, I mean constant line to the Confessionals, keeping three priests busy with confession for hours and hours.

Over the next two months I will be meeting with teams that are working on Marian Conferences for this year, in Sikeston, (Springfield/Cape Diocese) April 22 & 23, in Raytown (Kansas City/St. Joseph Diocese), June 17 & 18, in Glasgow, (Jefferson City Diocese) August 12 & 13, and in Springfield, (Springfield/Cape Diocese) October 14 & 15.

One of our team members was also doing a parish mission in Columbia today, and we will be doing more Parish mission during the year, we also just finished a wonderful parish mission in Boonville, Sts Peter and Paul on the 9, 10, 11 of January, and will be working with the Springfield/Cape Girardeau Diocese Women on Friday, April 15 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Please, please keep all of these events in your daily prayers, that everyone involved in any way is blessed in spirit, mind, and body to do all they can to bring souls to our Lord, and seek to use the weapon (Rosary) that Mary brought us, asking for her mantle of protection around all involved in any way.

jesus-break-bread“Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I shall not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26:26-29

Is there someone you are deeply concerned about? Put all into the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. Eucharistic Adoration is a gift of love. Through the Angel of Fatima, Heaven taught us the secret of how to convert the whole world through the Great Power of Eucharistic Adoration.

AngelKids1Listen again to the words from the Angel to the children of Fatima: “O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly. I offer you the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the Tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is most offended. By the Infinite Merits of the Sacred heart of Jesus, and the merits of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg you for the Conversion of the Whole World.”

With the Eucharistic Miracle that follows I believe you will see and be affirmed, and can receive joy and peace. God so loves us and sees us in the worldwide decay, and is letting us see in this Eucharistic Miracle of the last seven years, how much he wants to draw us in our weakness to HIM.

Do we want to stop the slaughter of innocents worldwide both inside and outside the womb? For sure we do. Do we want to stop all the other offenses to a Holy God happening all over the world? For sure we do.

Then try to pray that prayer given by an Angel who is before the throne of God daily, if you have not had to beg, follow the Angel’s words and Beg GOD for the Conversion of the Whole World.

1941433_627979330608064_6041257_oSince it is for Souls that you are begging for, you, and me, yes you and me, can never do something better. So I will give a suggestion, before or after you read today’s miracle, go to your knees before a Holy God and say that prayer that was given through the Angel for the whole world. Love each of you so much.

I am going to my knees for each of you as I send this, please do this for all those God has given you and puts into your path.

To the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful & Immaculate Heart of Mary, GregoryMary

Eucharistic Miracle of SOKÓŁKA POLAND, OCTOBER 12, 2008

First, the story:

sokol 12On October 12, 2008, at the church dedicated to Saint Anthony of Sokółka, the Holy Mass of 8:30 AM is celebrated by a young vicar, Filip Zdrodowski. During Communion, unknowingly the Host falls from the hands of one of the priests.

A woman kneeling, ready to receive the Eucharist, makes him notice it. The priest remains paralyzed from fright and believing it was dirty, places it in the vasculum, a small silver vessel which contains the water utilized by priests to wash their fingers after distributing Communion. At the end of the Holy Mass, the sacristan, Sister Julia Dubowska, takes the vasculum with the Host and for increased safety pours it into another vessel which she then locks in the safe where the chalices were kept.

A week later, on Sunday, October 19, around 8:00 AM, the sister opens the safe and finds the Host almost dissolved but with some strange red clots in the center. She immediately calls the priests to show them what was discovered.

sokol 7The Host was mostly dissolved. Only a very small piece of the consecrated bread was left, tightly interconnected to the substance that appeared on its surface. Actually, part of the Host was joined to that “strange red clot”.

The pastor of Sokółka then contacted the Metropolitan Curia of Białystok. Archbishop Edward Ozorowski together with the Chancellor of the Curia, priests and professors examined the Host and, astounded, decide to wait for the development of the events and to see what would happen next.

On October 29 the vessel containing the Host is brought into the parish chapel and locked in the tabernacle; the next day, on order of the Archbishop, Father Gniedziejko delicately removes with a small spoon the partially dissolved Host with the blood colored substance on its interior and which with the naked eye immediately gave the impression of being a bloodstain places it on a pure white corporal, with a red cross embroidered on its center.

The Sequence:

The Metropolitan Curia of Białystok has released this declaration concerning the Eucharistic Miracle that occurred at Sokółka:

sokol 10“1. On October 12, 2008, a consecrated Host fell out of the hands of a priest while he was distributing Holy Communion. He picked it up and placed it in a vessel filled with water, in the tabernacle. After Mass, the vessel containing the host was placed in a safe present in the sacristy.

2. On October 19, 2008, after opening the safe one could clearly see a red stain on the Host that had fallen,

3. On October 29, 2008, the vessel containing the Host was transferred to the tabernacle of the chapel of the rectory. The next day the Host was removed from the water contained in the vessel and placed on a corporal inside the tabernacle.

4. On January 7, 2009, the sample of the Host was taken and examined independently by two professionals in histopathology at the University of Medicine of Białystok. They issued a common declaration which states: ‘The sample sent for evaluation looks like myocardial tissue. In our opinion, of all the tissues of living organisms this is the one that resembles it the most.’

sokol 115. The Commission has noted that the analyzed Host is the same one that has been moved from the sacristy to the tabernacle in the chapel of the rectory. Intervention by a third party has not been found.

6. The case of Sokółka does not contradict the faith of the Church, but rather confirms it.”

At the beginning of January of 2009 the Curia of Białystok asked two eminent specialists in pathologoical anatomy of the Medical University of Białystok – Professor Maria Elżbieta Sobaniec-Łotowska and Professor Stanisław Sulkowski, to analyze the samples of the bloodstained Host.

CUD W SOKOLCEAt the beginning of January of 2009 the Curia of Białystok asked two eminent specialists in pathologoical anatomy of the Medical University of Białystok – Professor Maria Elżbieta Sobaniec-Łotowska and Professor Stanisław Sulkowski, to analyze the samples of the bloodstained Host.

On Janaury 7 – Professor Sobaniec-Łotowska went to Sokółka and took from the corporal a minuscule sample of the mysterious substance present in the Host. The professors of the UMB University had underlined that, in the case of the examined Host, in the sample they have found numerous biomorphological indicators typical of cardiac muscle tissue such as, for example, the phenomenon of segmentation, namely damage to the fibers of the tissue of the cardiac muscle in the section where communicating junctions [structures characteristic of the cardiac muscle] are found, and the phenomenon of fragmentation. Such damages are visible in the form of numerous small lesions. These alterations can be observed only in fibers that were not necrotic, that is alive, and show signs of the fast spasms of the cardiac muscle typical of the extreme phase preceding death.

Another important evidence of the fact that the material analyzed corresponded to human cardiac muscle tissue was the central position of the cellular nucleus in the observed fibers, a typical characteristic of cardiac muscle fibers…

sokol 4The two scientists of Białystok declared… “Some signs that can correspond to nodes of the contractions have been observed on the section of several fibers. Instead, during the analysis with the electronic microscope, the outlines of the communicating junctions and the thin filaments of the myofibrils were visible”.

Moreover, the cardiac tissue was joined to the consecrated Host in an inseparable manner. In the report of the examination performed by Professor Sobaniec-Łotowska and Professor Sulkowski, we find written: “The material resulted was sufficient for the examination; it indicates that it is cardiac muscle tissue, or at least the most similar to it among all the living tissues of an organism”. “And, something very important, the material analyzed is composed in all respects of cardiac muscular tissue”. This affirmation is reported in the “Communication of the Metropolitan Curia of Białystok” of October 14, 2009, concerning the Eucharistic phenomena at Sokółka.

The professors discovered also other unexplainable elements. “The Host remained in water for a long time and it remained in the corporal for an even longer period of time.

sokol 5The tissue that appeared on the Host would therefore have had to undergo the process of autolysis, namely the process of self-destruction by the action of the intracellular enzymes; in the material analyzed there were not however observed traces of these alterations!”, the two luminaries declared.

Another very interesting event observed consists in that the substance found on the corporal, although slightly changed after being removed from the water (it had simply dried) a couple of years ago, it did not change its appearance despite having been neither stabilized nor preserved at a particular temperature. “This signifies that if the miracle were due to a bacterium, the material would have disintegrated, crumbled and would have changed appearance. Any microbial culture, even placed on the cleanest possible material, after a single week appears completely different” added Professor Sulkows

sokol 9“At first I was convinced that it was a blood clot” – said Professor Sobaniec-Łotowska. But the truth was much more surprising! The two scientists of Białystok, who for their own independent investigations, made use of the most modern optical microscopes and the transmission electronic microscope, have reached the same conclusion (Professor Sulkowski, did not know that the sample which he was examining came from a Host): the sample examined was neither a clot, nor blood … it was a human cardiac muscle tissue still alive. And, something even more incredible, it was a cardiac muscle with typical indications of the final phase that precedes death.

The Church believes that the words of consecration, though the power of the Holy Spirit, transform the species of bread into the Body of Christ and the species of wine into his Blood. It provides also a call to the ministers of Holy Communion to distribute the Body of Christ with faith and attention and to the faithful – to receive It with reverence.

When the Curia of Białystok became aware of the incredible results of the analyses, it formed a special Ecclesiastical Commission convened by the Archbishop on March 30, 2009. His task consisted in examining the miracle from the theological point of view and in listening to all who had seen the Host or who had been witnesses of those extraordinary events.

sokol 2The commission also had the task of dispelling any doubt of deception and of ascertaining that no one had furtively substituted the Host in the tabernacle, The representatives of the commission – the distinguished professors of the Seminary of Białystok – interrogated all the witnesses, verifying the sincerity of their testimonies.

The work undertaken by was taken for the examination is the same one that has been transferred from the sacristy to the tabernacle of the chapel in the rectory. The intervention of strangers was not observed”.

What a great sign! Acts 2:17-19 states, “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; yea, and on my menservants and my maidservants in those days I will pour out my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. And I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;…”

sokol 1Pilgrims have flocked to Sokolka Poland as the news spread about this great sign. Jesus was once asked this question, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform? Jesus responds given us the “Bread of Life Discourse”, which Jesus says, ” I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh. The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat? So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.”

The Guardian Angel: Eucharistic Miracle of Les Ulmes France 1668

Posted by Donald Hartley - January 13th, 2016

Mary 3Mary, I give you my heart.  Please set it on fire with love for Jesus.  Make it always attentive to his burning thirst for love and souls.  Keep my heart in your most pure Heart that I may love Jesus and the members of his Body with your own perfect love.  Give me a deeper love for the Mass and the Eucharist each day.

Just had three great days, Saturday and Sunday with adults and a comfortable crowd each day, doing a parish mission in Boonville, MO. I brought a baby Catholic (just last Holy Saturday), former Methodist Pastor to the event to get his feet wet and he did a great job.  Then Monday was blessed the principal at the Catholic School brought down about 90 fifth through eighth graders with staff and it was wonderful, and then they asked me to come down and  speak to 24,  2nd graders at the school that were working on their first communion, so all these efforts were about the Eucharist and Mary, I was like a kid in a candy store.

997061_725964650810855_2513711920464969785_nNow before this days Eucharistic Miracle, an important effort for those aware that we live in a battleground, not a playground*** we have to spend every breathing moment of our days for souls, nothing else is important, so do all you can for this effort, there are children and neighbors waiting for each of us to use our gifts.

This effort is definitely for the Eucharist and Mary.  As you know I ask everyone present at our Parish Missions and our Marian Conferences to pray for the Shepherds daily, I try to do this at Mass Daily, at my Rosary Daily, at Adoration every chance I get, and I have a special priest that is my Spiritual Director, an orthodox prince of the church, that is so serious about souls, and like Jesus, Paul, and John the Baptist, is willing to speak the truth in love, and because of that not everyone likes what he says, because he does not tickle their ears.  I asked him to be my spiritual director because of the reasons I just mentioned, we need more clergy like him that is a defender of Mary and the Deposit of Faith as handed down by Jesus through the Apostles.  As Cardinal Burke said, “it is about the Truth, not opinion.”  With that said, please pray for Father, and here is his request:

gay 5I am writing to ask you to renew and redouble your prayers for my cause at this time.  There are two reasons for this request.  1.  As time passes we can lose our first fervor for a cause we believe in and we can forget, eventually even forgetting to pray.  2.  I’m going to be contacting Rome specifically the Apostolic Signatura to which I have made my appeal.  It’s been over two months and I haven’t heard anything.  I’m going to push things a bit and I want to move this along.  So I will need lots of prayer for a positive result.

May I ask that you consider having Masses said, extra rosaries or novenas.  But please consider lots and lots of prayers.  As I thank you ahead of time, I want to remind you that I pray for my benefactors at every Sunday Mass.

Besides this I have been telling people to pray a lot for an increase of faith, hope and love.  These are very trying times in the church and the world, especially in the church.  Our response cannot be bitter laments but prayer.  Prayer is the way through and beyond the present situation!  Please guard and grow in faith, hope and love.  Please pray more!  May God reward you for your kindness! Father Korte

To the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful & Immaculate Heart of Mary, GregoryMary

Eucharistic Miracle of Les Ulmes France 1668

Eucharist 1Here at Deepertruth, we want to always promote Eucharistic Adoration because we truly believe that Jesus is truly present at Mass in the Eucharistic Consecration.  Oh Sacrament Most Holy, Oh Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment thine.  I believe that Jesus Christ is truly, wholly, and substantially present body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist.  Oh Sacrament Most Holy, Oh Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanks giving be every moment thine.

At each Mass a true miracle takes place and faithful Catholics who see with the eyes of faith recognize Jesus presence, sometimes however, for the Lord’s good measure and purpose, Jesus often times grants a glimpse in the divine presence.  On June 2 1668, Saturday of the Octave of Corpus Christi, at Les Ulmes France, the Pastor of the Church, Nicolas Nezan, began using incense before the Altar leading praise to God.  While the hymn Pange Lingua was being sung, “and having reached the stanza ‘Verbum caro Panem verum’, a unique vision of the Eucharistic  takes place during before the faithful singing.  With the Blessed Host being exposed on the Altar for public adoration, a mysterious shape of a man with light-brown hair flowing behind his head down the top part of his back, a illumination was seen surrounding his face, He had his hands crossed over the other crossing over his body, and he wore a white tunic covering His body.

les 1This vision lasted for about a quarter of an hour as the faithful all witnessed the event.  This excited everyone to such a degree that on 13 June Father Nezan sent word to the local Bishop Henry Arnauld, who sent for an inquiry.  Because of the threat of the French Revolution, the Blessed Sacrament was properly consumed by the Vicar of Puy Notre Dame who feared that Jesus would be profaned.

On June 25, Bishop Arnauld published a proclaimation presenting the testimony surrounding this great sign from Jesus giving the Miracle his blessing.  This proclamation  was ordered by the Bishop to be sent out for all the faithful.  Three specific writings promoting the Miracle came from Paris, a writing by Edelynck was diffused widely.  Another was spread around by Jean Bidault di Saumer and finally, another one by editor Ernoudi Parigi.  It was not long that devotion spread causing pilgrimages to the site.  From this inspiration, Dominican Father Gonet composed his work “Clypeus Theologiae, Volumne VIII, published in 1669 by the editor Bertier.

By the end of the 18th century, the Church at Les Ulmes held annual processions honoring the Eucharistic Miracle that took place there.

les 2In 1901, Les Ulmes was again honored by hosting the International Eucharistic Congress of Angers and again in 1933, during the National Eucharistic Congress  an extensive study was dedicated in honor of this Miracle (1668).

Les Ulmes Parish continues to honor this Miracle which, unfortunately, because of the French Revolution, was consumed to safeguard the Blessed Host.

Angel of Portugal
